The Consular Section of the US Embassy in Havana notified on Tuesday that it had rescheduled all interviews scheduled for January 3, 2023.
Those called for that day will now be interviewed on 29th December 2022, I mentioned the diplomatic headquarters on its website and social networks.
The Embassy recommends that visa applicants who were interviewed on January 3 check their email for more information about the new date.
The diplomatic headquarters said the change was due to programming adjustments.
The United States government announced months ago that its embassy in Havana would resume full processing of immigrant visas starting January 4, 2023, to include the categories of the Immediate Family, Family Preference, Diversity Visa, and Fiancé K visa.
The US State Department said at the time that the increase is part of a broader expansion of the embassy’s functions to facilitate diplomatic and civil society engagement, and to provide safe, legal, and orderly immigration options for Cuban citizens.
Scheduled Immigrant Visa applicants for January 2023 appointments in Havana will begin receiving appointment notifications starting November 10, 2022. The Embassy stated that cases of applicants who provide a residence address within Cuba on their Forms DS-260, will automatically be transferred to Havana, unless they have She’s already scheduled for Georgetown.
