The Women of America dialogue begins in Mexico for rights and welfare

The opening ceremony will be chaired by Sheinbaum as head of government and host, Vice President of Colombia Francia Márquez Mena, fellow Minister of Labor and Social Economy of Spain Yolanda Diaz, as well as Mayor of Bogota Claudia López. .

The session Social Transformations in the Americas: In Search of Equality and Social Justice will open immediately, with the President of Honduras, Xiomara Castro, the Vice President of Uruguay, Beatrice Argemon, and the former President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet.

They will all talk about preventing violence, femicide and human trafficking, access to healthcare and the care economy.

In another session, Democracy, Political Rights and Representation, former Chilean Foreign Minister María Fernanda Espinosa, UN Women Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, María Noel Faiza, and France’s Deputy Representative to Latin America and the Caribbean, Eléonor Caruit, will be from among other characters.

The dialogue on social sustainability and the role of Latin American women in the post-pandemic period will be led by the Brazilian Environment Minister, Marina Silva, and the Colombian Minister of Education, Aurora Vergara, according to the program released by the organizers.
