According to a joint statement, 20 diverse and diverse sectors and populations of Colombian society will come together during the last quarter of the year to design the methodology, as a result of conversations and discussions in the three plenary sessions of the Committee for National Participation (CNP). . ).

They confirmed that these spaces will be launched on October 6 and 7 in this capital, with a meeting between operations and alternative, community and popular media.

While in November and December, student and population sector meetings will be held; Religious communities, human rights, women, victims, prison populations, economic unions, and diaspora.

Other civil society organizations, such as academics from various public and private universities, and young people from the front lines, are developing independent meetings to contribute to the design of the engagement methodology.

In addition, 10 regional meetings will be held corresponding to the Pacific Coast, Southwest, Northeast, Orinoquia, Amazonia, Caribbean, Central, Coffee Region, Antioquia and Magdalena Medio.

The design phase will culminate in February 2024 and will define the parameters and scope to ensure the community has a central role in the engagement process.

In addition, engagement themes, methodology and scenarios will be developed through a national, deliberative and positive process that will lead to an engagement model, national engagement plan and recommendations presented to the peace dialogue table between the national government and the ELN.
