Instagram and Mental Health by La Merella

One of the highlights of Pere Aragonès’ installation since the inauguration discussions has been the promotion of a mental health plan. His first official visit as head of the Generalitat, on May 25, was to Parc Taulí Hospital in Sabadell. There he met with the children’s psychiatry team of the mental health service at the medical center. This was further evidence that they will dedicate efforts and resources to combat the ravages of the virus in this region.

Last Saturday, he once again showed his willingness and opened his Instagram account so that the entity Obertament, which fights stigma and discrimination in mental health, could answer the inquiries that users of the social network addressed to the president on the issue. Aragon also responded to each other through video recordings. He insisted, among other things, that the government will allocate 80 million euros for the adoption of measures.

The initiative came a few days before the full study in Parliament, this week, on mental health.
