Announcing the World Mental Health Day Logo Contest

For the second year in a row, the Institute of Mental Health and Telepsychology (ISAMT) announces the call for a competition to select National emblem in memory of World Health Day Mental, celebrate it October 10 2022.

As the institute reported in a note, the competition aims to choose a slogan that defines the national reality of mental health, enhances its importance in the life of every individual, in every society and culture, and calls for the population to have better access and raise awareness to reduce the stigma attached to mental health and mental disorders.

The note states that there is a lack of mental health care services in the country, only in Santo Domingo there is a specialized care service for children and adolescents. In some hospitals, psychiatric bed places have closed, there are no psychosocial rehabilitation services for people with serious mental illnesses, and no real policy for mental health care has been established.

The competition on its first call was excellently received, with organizations and individuals participating from all over the country, and won with the slogan: “Make it Viral: Mental Health is Everyone’s Business.”
