Bernardo Bax will be the new director of the Menorca Health District

Palma, August 9 (Europe Press) –

The Director General of Health Services, Javier Urreña, has appointed Bernardo Pax as the new Director of the Menorca Health District, replacing Ana Trinado.

The new director, born in 1966 in Mau, has a degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Valladolid and has a certificate in emergency and emergency medicine (CME), as detailed by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday in a press release.

In addition, they added that he holds a master’s degree in Clinical Administration, Medical Administration and Assistance from TECH, in collaboration with Cardenal Herrera University (2021). He has also done many training courses related to emergencies and emergencies.

Pax has also been part of the Menorca Health District since 1996, working primarily in the emergency area. He worked for ten years in the Emergency Department of the Verge del Toro Hospital and since 2007 in the same department of the Mateu Orfila Hospital. In 2013 he was appointed Chief of Service, a position he has held until today.

In addition, Bernardo Bax was an advisor to the Mau City Council between 2004 and 2011 and was elected as a councilor in the last municipal elections.

Canal Health Centre

On Wednesday, the Minister of Health, Manuela García, met with the mayor of Ciutadella, Juana Maria Ponce, at the town hall in the municipality. Also present at the meeting were IBSalut’s Managing Director, Javier Ureña, and IBSalut’s Director of Administration and Budgets, Yago Gómez.

The main topic of the meeting was to study the best option with regard to the Salat Canal Health Center, in order to improve the health care of the municipality.
