BMW i5 Touring 2024: The 5 Series will also be electric

The BMW 5 Series Touring is on the grid for display, an event that should take place before the end of the year or at the beginning of 2024. As with the sedan, it will arrive accompanied by an electric version that will be called BMW i5 Touring.

Aside from the logical changes that the car will have at the rear compared to the i5 sedan, the rest of the design will be a carbon copy of it. There will be some differences with the combustion variants but nothing that makes it lose its character.

The interior will be identical as well, which will once again include the dual-adjacent screen through which BMW Selected in its latest releases. The left part designated for the control panel will be 12.3 inches, while the right part designated for the multimedia system will be 14.9 inches.

It will be the infotainment system BMW ID 8.5Compatible with Apple CarPlay And Android Autowhile elements such as the Head-Up Display and Power Display will be optional, as will BMW Natural Interaction gesture control technology.

Two mechanical options are expected to arrive. The first will be 340 hp In a single motor arranged on the rear axle and an 81.2 kWh battery giving it a maximum range of more than 500 km.

The second, more sporty and stamped Mwill add a second motor on the front axle to achieve more power 601 hp. The battery will be exactly the same as the previous version, so a lower range is expected, which will be in the range of 440 kilometers.
