Covid-19 cases up 28% in Chile this week | News

This Wednesday, the Chilean Ministry of Health released the balance of the epidemiological situation with regard to Covid-19 and reported that new cases had grown by 28 percent over the past week.

On Tuesday, 4,803 infections were detected for a cumulative total of 3,834,020 and 10 deaths were recorded, for a total of 58,119 deaths since the beginning of the epidemic in the country in March 2020.

Chile is among the Latin American countries with the highest deaths from the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Their records were surpassed only by Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico.
