ETB-2 shows mental health issue in I Need Help

EITB premieres a new documentary series I Need Helpborn with a purpose Helping nine young men and women from the Basque Country face various psychological processes and emotional challenges (Anxiety, hypochondria, emotional dependency, mobile phone addiction or eating disorders). In a world dominated by social networks, where young people project a thoughtful version of their seemingly perfect lives, many feel more lonely than ever and disconnected from real relationships. The program uses traditional group therapy (cognitive behavior) in 10 sessions in which the results are written down by the participants, which are also visible to the audience. In the end, everyone improves to a greater or lesser degree. Everyone learns something.

The program was taped during July and August, and during its televised broadcast starting in October, participants will continue to receive therapeutic support from the program, to help them live with public exposure.

Journalist and presenter Iban Garati will help us contextualize mental health problems in the Basque Country, providing data and at the same time serving as a common template for the participants’ stories.
