Fluidra said late Tuesday that it now expects full-year sales to be around 2.4 billion euros ($2.4 billion), up from a previous forecast of between 2.5 and 2.6 billion euros. gross operating profit (EBITDA) for the year will be above 500 million euros, compared to a previous forecast of 600-630 million euros.

Supply chain issues, along with accelerating demand in 2020 and 2021, have led to higher inventory levels in the company’s distribution channel.

Inflation accelerated this movement, as distributors, especially in North America, bought additional inventory in anticipation of higher prices. Fluidra states that the normalization of stock levels is now taking place.

Fluidra expects sales for the third quarter of 2022 to be around €520 million, 7% lower than the same period last year, in terms of the exchange rate. The EBITDA It is expected to reach about 95 million euros quarterly, compared to 120 million euros in the same period in 2021.
