Google is already testing in Europe an alternative payment system for the Play Store

The Google Launched in the European market, including Spain, the beta program in which developers will be able to integrate a file Alternative Payment System Which Google Play Store offers by default.

From September 1, developers can join the testing program that allows them to include an alternative payment system, in addition to the one offered by Google Play. At this point it is available Only for apps with internal paymentsexcept for mobile games and “apps” for tablets.

The technology company explains in support page Participants in this program must Pay Google Service Fee. If the user chooses to make the payment with the alternative service, this rate will be reduced by 4 percent.

By including an alternative payment system, when the user goes to make an in-app payment, he will find two options: the system chosen by the developer and Google Play, which will remain as the option to choose and not the only payment method by default.
