Great Benton Burnt Copper Resources

The company has completed 12 holes with a length of 2,630 meters in the second phase drilling programme.

Benton Resources Inc. announced It has successfully expanded the Great Burnt depot in south-central Newfoundland, another 50 meters and along strike to the south, while continuing to demonstrate that the depot is open to expansion.

The company has completed 12 holes of 2,630 meters in length in a Phase 2 drilling program that is designed to define up- and down-dip boundaries as well as down- and along-strike expansion.

Multiple sub-massive and massive sulphide intersections from 0.5 m to 17.75 m were intercepted, including a 4.1 m diameter massive sulphide zone in hole GB-24-34, the deepest and farthest southerly drill hole ever drilled into the deposit.

A bottom hole is currently being dug to test the intersection's fall.

President and CEO Stephen Starrs said the new southbound drilling intercept indicates the significant potential that lies to the south and dip into the Great Burnt.

“We are very excited that our team has expanded and demonstrated that the VMS is fully open and we look forward to receiving screening results and continued success on this large copper-gold system,” he said.

Benton Resources is a well-funded mineral exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol BEX. Following a project construction business model, Benton has a diversified and highly forward-looking real estate portfolio of gold, silver, nickel, copper, platinum and, more recently, lithium and cesium assets.

In addition, it has significant equity positions in other mining companies that promote high-quality assets. Where possible, BEX retains net smelter revenue (NSR) with long-term cash flow potential.

Benton is focused on developing its high-grade Great Burnt copper-gold project in central Newfoundland, which has mineral resources estimated at 667,000 tonnes grading 3.21% copper and 482,000 tonnes grading 2.35% copper.

The project has an excellent 25 km geological position, contains six known Cu-Au-Ag zones extending over 15 km and is open to expansion. Additional detection potential is excellent given the large number of untested geophysical targets and Cu-Au ground anomalies.

The Phase 1 drilling program, consisting of more than 5,650 square metres, which was completed in November, delivered impressive results, including 25.42 meters of 5.51% copper, including 9.78 meters of 8.31% copper and 1.00 meters of 12.70 grading. % copper from well GB-23. -12.
