Industrial engineers support PERTE’s latest industrial decarbonisation

On the occasion of PERTE’s implementation of industrial decarbonisation, he General Council of Official Colleges of Industrial Engineers She organized a conference in mid-April in Madrid to introduce her to the highest management authorities of PERTE, as well as companies of high standing, who talked about the measures they are taking to decarbonise industrial as well as the goals and challenges they face.

The project, whose commitment is to support the industry in its transition towards models and processes that are more respectful of the environment and contribute to the goal of climate neutrality in 2050, foresees a public investment of 3,100 million euros that will allow the mobilization of up to 11,800 million euros of the total investment.

Investments in decarbonization and modernization of the manufacturing industry promoted by PERTE will increase the competitiveness of the sector by about 10% and will mean the creation of about 8,000 jobs. In addition, according to estimates by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, a decrease in emissions is expected that may reach 13 million tons of carbon dioxide per year.

The conference held at the College of Industrial Engineers in Madrid, in the presence of Council President Cesar Franco, who spoke at the opening of the conference about the importance of this conference, as carbon removal is one of the two important axes in the transformation of our industry and our economy in the coming years.
