The Viñas International Tenor Singing Competition, one of the world's most important competitions for young singing talent, has been announced between a 33-year-old Brazilian mezzo-soprano and a 30-year-old New Zealand tenor. A competition established in 1963.

The first prize is awarded ex aequo by the Fundació Puig and the Gran Teatre del Liceu Foundation with a prize of 16,000 euros for each singer. In addition, it includes a contract from the Gran Teatre del Liceu Foundation for the coming seasons.

The second prize, 15,000 euros and presented by Friends of the Tenor Vinas competition group, went to Russian soprano Mira Alkovic, 26, and the third, 11,000 euros, presented by Cristina Bertrand Salvance, went to Portuguese soprano Silvia Sequeira. , 31 years old.
