Mexico records 4,860 new cases of COVID-19 and 125 deaths

The Minister of Health (The US Space Agency), Friday, raised the official number of injuries to 5 million 629,814 COVID-19 which has been confirmed in our country in pandemic. The number of deaths, according to the report, rose to 321,931.

The update of the data means that 4,860 new cases were recorded when reducing, in addition to 125 new deaths. The infection rate of confirmed cases in the epidemic was 4326.7 per 100,000 people.

There are 15,498 active cases in the country (those who have had symptoms within the last 14 days and are still contagious) with an infection rate of 11.9 per 100,000 population. The number of active patients is estimated at 16,566.

The 10 states with the highest infection rates in the country are Baja California Sur, Aguascalientes, Mexico City (leading in cumulative cases), Tlaxcala, Colima, Veracruz, Sinaloa, Queretaro, Puebla and Campeche

Regarding the daily progress of the national vaccination strategy, the government stated that 188 million 160,158 doses of available biological material have been applied to the cut, with 74 million 496,022 fully planned.
