More than 2,500 unofficial Cuban immigrants have been repatriated

The Bahamas, this Tuesday, has repatriated 44 irregular Cuban immigrants through Havana’s Jose Marti International Airport, in a total of seven such operations so far this year, carried out from the neighboring Caribbean island. In compliance with bilateral agreements on immigration, the Bahamas has returned a total of 141 of these immigrants this year. According to the Cuban immigration authorities, through these operations 2,529 irregular Cuban immigrants were returned to the island in 56 operations. (national editorial)

Lopez Obrador highlights the professional quality of Cuban doctors

The President of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, described Cuban doctors as very good and said that in Europe, as in Italy, they praised them in their fight against COVID-19. The president made the remark at his daily morning press conference at the National Palace, where the health plan was presented in a bid to make up for the shortage of medical professionals in the country. At least 14 children killed in Texas elementary school shooting

At least 14 children and a teacher died on Tuesday in an elementary school shooting in Ovaldi, Texas, USA. U. , as confirmed by Gov. Greg Abbott. The shooting took place around 12:17 p.m. (local time) at Robb Primary School, and about 15 children were injured. Abbott said the attacker was Salvador Ramos, an 18-year-old teenager who was shot dead by police. Cuban Medical Cooperation will have a permanent presence in Barbados

Health professionals from Cuba will permanently provide their services in Barbados, thanks to a cooperation agreement signed on Monday between the health ministries of the two countries. The Barbados authorities have shown an interest in strengthening the work-based cooperation that the Henry Reeve Unit is doing in the country, in the face of COVID-19.
