Storms in the northeastern United States seriously affect airline routes, especially at New York airports. Among these airlines are United and Jetblue, which will have the highest percentage of delayed and canceled flights.

As of late Tuesday afternoon, 1,800 mostly domestic flights had been canceled and more than 7,000 flight delays were reported in the United States, most of them coming from the Northeast due to electrical storms.

United at Chicago and Newark airports had a total of 12% and 35% of its operations with delays, that’s 374 cancellations and 1,020 flights with delays. Jetblue followed with high cancellation and delay rates at its two hubs in Boston and New York with 47% of flights delayed and 11% cancelled, for a total of 493 delays and 124 cancellations.

Similarly, airlines such as Delta and American are on the list of countries most affected by weather, after JetBlue and United. Among the hardest hit airports are New York, like LaGuardia, which has 38% of canceled departures and 33% of delays, that’s more than 200 cancellations and more than 180 delays.

Similarly, the other airports will be Newark Liberty International Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). In addition, Chicago and Atlanta airports also suffered from bad weather.

As mentioned REPORTUR.usAirports in Miami and Fort Lauderdale were also affected by severe storms in South Florida, causing many cancellations and delays. (Florida: Flight cancellations and delays due to severe storms).
