During his speech at the 19th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement, Moncada urged to contribute to a new multipolar world order, with the emergence of new transcontinental regional actors and increased action among developing countries.

The Chancellor said that multipolarity is the correct response for our developing countries to separate from imperialist domination that has subjected the planet and the majority of the population to war, environmental collapse, destruction, instability, poverty and hunger.

He added that this new world order is based on the principles of mutual respect, non-discrimination, and equality of sovereignty between countries, regardless of geographical size, population, military or economic power.

“Based also on measures and actions respecting the Charter of the United Nations, as well as universal values ​​such as peace, development, equity, social justice, democracy and freedom, giving priority to negotiation, harmony, non-interference and mutual cooperation and stressed the peaceful resolution of differences.

The Sandinista Executive stressed the need to continue proposing global consensus based on multilateralism and cooperation, which allows countries to successfully implement the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.

He stressed the importance of eliminating poverty and inequality and reducing hunger, lack of health and education, as well as urgent compliance with the commitments of the Paris Agreement, including limiting the global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius, in addition to achieving climate justice. .

In another part of the speech, Moncada strongly condemned the atrocities committed by the government of Israel against the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

In this sense, Nicaragua reaffirmed its solidarity with Palestine and joined friendly peoples and governments that support an immediate ceasefire and an end to the acts of genocide and attacks launched by the Israeli army in the coastal sector.

Likewise, Nicaragua welcomed the complaint filed by South Africa before the International Court of Justice last December against Israel, for violating its obligations under the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

He expressed his support for the Palestinian delegation's request for its legitimate right to be recognized as a full member of the United Nations, and to be integrated into it and international organizations.

On the other hand, the diplomat thanked the Non-Aligned Movement for the support it provided to his country by including in the final document of the summit the case of Nicaragua against the United States in the International Court of Justice. Managua also requested compliance with the judicial ruling issued by that court in 1986, compensating the Central American country.
