Orange Spain seems to have launched a commercial offensive at the beginning of the summer. The company, within the framework of the merger with MásMóvil, has introduced several initiatives and discounts on its various brands in recent days, to try to attract new customers.

And with that, the company announced yesterday that it will give up 50GB of mobile browsing this summer to Jazztel customers. As explained by the company, this bonus will be applied to each mobile phone line, whether primary or additional, both to customers in the existing Jazztel portfolio and to new users who contract any of the comparable and mobile-only rates. The voucher, which does not imply any kind of additional obligation to activate it, can also be used within the European Economic Area.

In the same vein, the brand low cost Simyo will be giving away a bonus of 30 GB of mobile data to all customers, whether prepaid or contract. In addition, it will be extended to both existing users of the company and new ones, without an increase in prices. As explained by the company, this bonus is valid for national traffic and up to 10 GB in Roaming within the European Economic Area.

Similarly, Orange has launched a new campaign, “Days of Summer”, which includes discounts on purchases smart phones and other electronic devices such as consoles, smart TVs, or other connected objects. The operator explained that customers who purchase a device with the contract at a comparable price from Orange will be able to obtain a discount on the purchase of that station by up to 360 euros.

Specifically, customers who purchase a new device with any of the Love Cine and Series prices will receive a discount of €10 per month for 24 months, meaning a total saving of €240. This discount increases to €15 per month for 24 months, if the customer chooses the Love Fútbol rate, which translates to a final savings of €360 on your new device.

The operator stated that this strategy, together with a flexible payment policy, allowed it to lead the sale of devices in Spain, with nearly 900,000 units sold in the first quarter of 2023.

As part of the Days of Summer campaign, the company plans to distribute up to 100,000 movie tickets this summer among customers who visit its stores.

With these movements, Orange is trying to counter the competition that exists in the Spanish market, especially in this sector low costas the company operates under the aforementioned Simyo brand.

However, Orange maintained its growth trend in the first quarter, with a revenue increase of 2.8%, thanks to a rise of 1.2% in retail services and an 18% increase in the sale of equipment.

The operator ended March with 17.08 million mobile customers, an increase of 3.6%, thanks to an increase in the contract base and the withdrawal of 5G. In fixed broadband, on the other hand, Orange finished the quarter with 3.97 million customers, down 1.3%. Between January and March, Orange secured 45,000 mobile contract customers, but lost 12,000 in broadband.
