Addis Ababa, December 31 (Radio Havana Cuba) Members of the diplomatic and state mission of Cuba, residents and graduates of the Caribbean island (Cuban Etio) today celebrated the 65th anniversary of the victory of the January 1 Revolution.

Regarding the year that is coming to an end, the Ambassador of Havana, Jorge Lefebvre, highlighted more than six decades of resistance of the Cuban people who in 2023 once again suffered the effects of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States Government. . join.

Lefebvre stated that despite the economic needs, the belief in victory has never been extinguished and “we will never surrender.”

He stressed that the Cuban Revolution will continue for many more years, and there will be others, like those present today, who will celebrate every anniversary and victories of that revolutionary process.

The diplomat thanked the presence of several generations of Ethiopian Cubans in this activity, while acknowledging the unconditional support and solidarity extended to the Cuban diplomatic headquarters in Ethiopia. “This is your home too,” he stressed.
