Oslo, August 15 (RHC) This Sunday, the Kingdom of Norway made a preliminary presentation of the dialogue process conducted by the delegation of the Venezuelan government and the opposition in Mexico, for the peace and stability of the South American country.

The letter endorses the parties’ commitment to move forward with the negotiations, as well as the Scandinavian country’s role in the process, “The government and the united platform of Venezuela held constructive meetings with the Kingdom of Norway on August 14 and 15,” they add.

“We have discussed the creation of a consultation mechanism with political and social actors that will be as inclusive as possible,” the statement from the Venezuelan delegations notes.

The statement also details that in order to avoid any hypothesis that threatens the progress of the operation, the reservation will be made at the necessary points, “We want to reaffirm our commitment to the established guidelines, so as to take the utmost care regarding the reservation of the operation,” they limit.

“We would like to express our deep appreciation for the support expressed by members of the international community for the negotiation and dialogue process,” the letter from the two parties concluded.

Since the signing of the memorandum by both delegations last Friday, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has rated the event as a success leading the country to peace and reconciliation.

“After a lot of effort, we succeeded. When this possibility was opened, we dealt with it patiently until it is realized,” the Venezuelan head of state said.
