Samsung Peru introduces the new DVM S2 air conditioning system, an evolution of the VRF system – Samsung Peru Newsroom

The most energy efficient system thanks to the application of artificial intelligence, reduces the use of refrigerant gases in the system and increases flexibility in installation and design with units of larger capacities.

Samsung Peru introduced its new range of DVM S2 air conditioners, the new generation of the Multi Variable Digital (DVM) S platform for the Peruvian market.

The new range offers a seasonal energy efficiency ratio of up to 5.23 * EER, innovations in artificial intelligence (AI) and control capabilities to optimize climate conditions according to the environment.

Notably, the Samsung DVM S2 is fully compatible with WindFree™ technology, allowing for maximum comfort anywhere. It also allows for improved installation and maintenance flexibility, and a maximum of 64 indoor units can be connected.

Innovative technology to achieve energy efficiency

With the aim of prioritizing energy efficiency, the new DVM S2 range incorporates various innovative technologies into its core components. These include a more advanced scroll compressor with Advanced Flash Injection (AFI) technology, an enlarged heat exchanger with improved refrigerant flow, a multi-tooth fan and an improved power unit.

It should be noted that the AFI motor control technology enables a wider frequency range of 10~180Hz. The new 10 Hz bass (compared to 14 Hz in the previous model) makes the system more stable at low frequencies, which performs even better with WindFree™ for a comfortable draft – Free temperature control. On the other hand, the new maximum of 180Hz ensures more powerful cooling performance.

Improvement in design and performance

Compared to the same capacity models in the current DVM S series, the heat transfer area of the heat exchanger in all new models is significantly larger. The new unit’s hybrid path is designed to optimize refrigerant flow matching the airflow profile. In this way, the exclusive propeller with multiple teeth reduces air vortex turbulence, with different teeth positioned, taking into account the air velocity from the edge and inside the blade, respectively. In addition, the high-efficiency insulated bipolar transistor (IGBT) reduces the loss of conductive electricity.

The new DVM S2 design is more aerodynamic and allows for quieter operation compared to previous generations. It has a stronger frame and reinforced body with an improved external cabinet for added reliability. The operating range of external static pressure and refrigeration has been extended to provide design flexibility, along with an improved emergency operating situation. In addition, the DVM S2 also features on-device inverter check for better maintenance. Advanced technology for refrigerant sub-cooling control and installation condition analysis enabled the creation of a smaller liquid pipeline, resulting in a 28% reduction in the amount of additional refrigerant used during installation compared to its predecessor.

Likewise, there is greater design flexibility due to the larger capacity unit combinations: a single 34-horsepower unit (the largest currently on the market) for 380V and 460V, in the case of 220V for units up to 26HP.

AI innovations for faster, smarter cooling

With its AI capabilities, the DVM S2 range detects indoor weather conditions to deliver optimized heating and cooling performance. For example, the AI Low Pressure Control feature learns patterns in the cooling process and reaches the target temperature more quickly, ensuring that users in the room feel more comfortable at the desired temperature.

In the case of AI high pressure control, the goal is to maintain optimal high pressure while adjusting according to the installed environment. While the AI defrost control system provides the best timing for defrosting operations, thus providing greater comfort during heating. In addition, the DVM S2’s advanced AI algorithms can detect refrigerant leaks in real time and send alerts instantly so users can quickly monitor and manage their units without compromising on comfort.
