The festival started in 2016 and after four face-to-face editions, in 2020, the event was completely virtual, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, while this year it was held in an online and mixed format, and with reduced capacity.
According to the festival’s producer, Diana Guanin, film students and professors of the University of the Americas are the central parts of the annual organization of the meeting, which also has the support of the Telefónica Movistar Foundation.
