Sporting Cristal announces Colombian John Jairo Mosquera

Colombian striker John Jairo Mosquera will play Next season in Peruvian Sporting Cristal, where he will meet again with coach Roberto Mosquera, who has already directed him at the Bolivian Royal Bari.

Mosquera, 33, will sign a contract as a free player for the entire 2022 season and stop at the Heavenly Club with a mission Be the reference center.

The footballer comes to Cristal after playing last season in Bolivia’s Guapira. Previously, he wore the team jerseys like Millionaires, Werder Bremen, Union Berlin and Invegado, among other things.

The Colombian was the chosen player to fill the vacancy left by Argentine striker Marcos Riquelme, after the return of his Argentine compatriot Emmanuel Herrera could not be completed.

Herrera’s option slipped after Argentinos Juniors were not satisfied with Sporting Cristal’s offer to bring back Herrera, who was the Peruvian league’s top scorer in 2018 and 2020.

Thus, Mosquera became Sporting Crystal’s fourth deal for 2022, after the signing of Uruguayan striker Leandro Sosa and Ecuadorean midfielder Juan Sanchez and the return of Peruvian striker Fernando Pacheco to their ranks.
