Spotify improves the way you listen to music in a group

Must Read

Spotify wants to make it easier to listen to music in a group. And for this, a new function is launched with the latest update of the app.

In addition to letting anyone who joins the group session contribute to their song selection, Spotfiy now gives you the ability to control speaker volume.

How to listen to music in a group on Spotify

The group session is one of the functions that Spotify offers premium users, although there are two ways. “remote group session” and “group session on speaker”

This last option allows multiple users sharing the same space to control what is heard on the speakerphone. Yes, they can contribute their favorite songs with a collaborative playlist that updates in real time.

Now it enhances this dynamic with a new functionality that allows each user to be able to control the volume of the music.

New volume sharing feature on Spotify

Of course, the “shared volume” function can be applied as long as they use a compatible speaker.

Although Spotify will allow any of the users to control the volume, the host will never lose control. You can turn the “Allow guests to change the volume” option on or off.

On the other hand, when there are four or more users in a session, Spotify will automatically disable this feature so that the host doesn’t have to deal with large group decisions.

This new functionality has already begun to be gradually implemented in the Spotify app, on both iOS and Android. One detail to consider is that this function is not enabled for use on any speaker.

As mentioned by the team SpotifyIt will be able to be used with Amazon Cast and Chromecast as well as on Wi-Fi speakers that use the Spotify SDK. It is not compatible with Apple AirPlay or Bluetooth devices.

Although this is a small update, Spotify makes it easier to listen to music in a group, without one person having to control the songs or the volume of the speaker.
