Successful Conference Management and Occupational Implications for Health – Opinion Karibe

The Magdalena University, in coordination with the Faculty of Health Sciences of UNAD, the Clinic of Bahia and the Regional Committee for Safety and Health at Work, held the Conference on Administrative and Occupational Implications for the Health Sector.

During the event, which was organized by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration Program, the importance of prevention, promotion of safe environments and effective application in billing processes for health services was highlighted.

Emphasis was placed on the importance of using personal protection items, the continuous training that must be done so that employees can protect their health and the guidance that must be given to health field users to reduce risks.

The subjects were in charge of professional experts, including specialist nurse Elena Ovalle, psychiatrist Hernando Muñoz Pacheco, business manager Angel Bossa Muñoz and specialist nurse Lesne Lopez.

“From the Management and Safety at Work program, we have formulated various processes with other institutions or entities that allow progress in risk prevention,” said Rubén López, Director of the Training Area of ​​CREO-UNIMAGDALENA.

Another aspect that was addressed were the challenges that must be faced around the risk factors that result from the Covid-19 pandemic, especially with regard to mental disorders.

Risk prevention training network

The Alma Mater Occupational Safety and Health Program is creating a training network that seeks to penetrate 26 health institutions to identify risk factors and reduce occupational diseases in the Region.
