NEW YORK – Telemundo 47 / WNJU, NBC 4 New York / WNBC and Stop & Shop hold a large-scale food drive to support eight food banks in three states during the Food Drive Initiative Feeding our families / Feeding our families.
It will take place at nearly 200 Stop & Shops in the three states on Saturday, June 1, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. The community can visit any of these locations to donate non-perishable food and personal hygiene items or round up their regular purchase total to the nearest dollar at the register, which will be donated to their local food bank.
So far, food collection campaign Feeding our families It has raised more than 520 tons of non-perishable donations through three previous campaigns, including last year.

Non-perishable food items and personal hygiene items, including needed items such as diapers, are in urgent need. Volunteers will also distribute this list to shoppers visiting all participating Stop & Shop stores on Saturday, September 9.

How to stop and shop for help
Stop & Shop is one of the largest retail supermarkets in the Tri-State, and the brand has partnered with area food banks and hunger relief organizations for many years. In 2024 alone, Stop & Shop donated more than $2 million in cash contributions to eight participating food banks in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Stop & Shop continues to expand the Stop & Shop School Food Pantry program, which works directly with schools from preschool through college to create and support school food pantries. Currently, Stop & Shop supports more than 230 school pantries throughout its territory, including more than 130 in the tri-state area.
