The Vincentian Parliament highlights friendship with Cuba – Escambray

This day was established in honor of Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, during his official visit to that country.

During a special session of the Parliament of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the friendly relations between the peoples of that nation and Cuba were highlighted.

As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Twitter, Diaz-Canel thanked the people and government of this fraternal nation for expressions of solidarity and shared resources with his country in difficult times.

At the meeting, Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister Vincentia, categorically rejected and condemned the United States’ continued efforts to interfere in the internal affairs of the largest of the Antilles.

The pride denounced the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US governments and the inclusion of Cuba in the list of state sponsors of terrorism.

Gonçalves said Cuba and St. Vincent and the Grenadines continue to work together to advance regional integration and defend the UN Charter.

He specified that both countries work closely in organizations such as the Non-Aligned Movement, the Latin American and Caribbean Community and the Group of 77.

The Cuban president and his high-level delegation began their official visit to St. Vincent and the Grenadines on December 3, and it was the first stop on a tour of the Caribbean that will include Barbados and Grenada.
