The smartwatch update for the Galaxy Watch5 and Watch4 lines is now available in Mexico, allowing you to control the Galaxy smartphone’s camera zoom through the wearable. With this new addition, owners of Galaxy smartphones and smartwatches will have more creative control to produce memorable photos and videos.

Previously, smartwatches could sync with a Galaxy smartphone to control the camera remotely, which is ideal for taking a hands-free selfie or family photo without letting anyone out. Now with the update, users can also control the camera’s zoom directly from the wearable screen.

The camera controller zooms in or out with a simple tap on the watch face or moving the rotating bezel. The feature is available for smartwatches from the Watch5 line (Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro) and the Watch4 line (Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic). Using Zoom on the Galaxy Watch5 Camera Controller

First, make sure that your smartphone is synced with the smartwatch. Then mirror your Galaxy smartphone screen to Galaxy Watch5; This is done using the camera driver, which is already installed in the WearOS system of the watch.

Once you open the app, it’s also very easy as it automatically launches the camera app on the connected smartphone. Now just use the onscreen controls on the Galaxy Watch5 to activate the camera features on your smartphone.

You can take photos by pressing the Galaxy Watch5’s capture button, zooming in or out, or switching between the front and back cameras. It also has a timer function, ideal for photos with several people, allowing everyone to receive a notification and select their best pose. Even on the Galaxy Watch5, you can preview your saved photos by accessing the gallery icon.

To take videos, you must first open the watch camera, switch to video mode, and then start recording from the Galaxy Watch5 screen. The same process applies to Galaxy Watch4 series devices.
