Vecard seeks to reduce 20% of cyberattacks by impersonation in the health sector

As digitization accelerates, so are cyber attacks. In the health sector, strategies have been developed to stop these digital frauds and provide safer care services. According to Dijin of the National Police, in 2020, identity theft increased by 409% in Colombia.

One of the innovations presented was Vecard, an app that seeks to reduce cyber-attacks via identity theft in the health sector by up to 20%.

“This sector, in particular, is highly vulnerable to impersonation and information theft due to the fact that a great deal of confidential data and patient medical histories are managed, among other things. From Veriddica and Intexus, we support organizations to protect information with physical and digital identification solutions to identify their patients, medical personnel, administrators, and all users through a secure and agile process,” comments David Rojas, CEO of Veriddica and Intexus.

In Veriddica’s case, it’s a company that’s been in the market for more than 25 years. Focuses on protecting people, processes, and company information.

Veriddica and Intexus will be part of Meditech 2022 “Powered by Medica”, which is reaching its seventh edition, July 12-15 at Corferias. These companies will take part in a booth to demonstrate the advances they have developed in technological solutions for physical and digital identification.
