The World Health Organization stresses the importance of the One Health approach

China Airlines is preparing new international routes

According to the civil aviation authorities of the Global Times, the country’s leading airline, Air China, must permanently add to its itinerary the weekly Beijing-New York line from June 5, apart from the Beijing-Los Angeles Sundays and Shenzhen-Los Angeles. which takes place every Tuesday.

Likewise, flights to Belarus, Italy and the United Arab Emirates will increase.

Information website yicai.com also reported that China Southern Airlines is now allowed to fly to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkey, while Hainan Airlines can fly to Italy.

These changes come after the State Council (Cabinet) approved a package of measures to revitalize the economy and support industries hard hit by the restrictions adopted in the standoff with Covid-19 in the Asian country.

In the case of civil aviation, the plan considers handing over five billion yuan ($735 million) in subsidies to all domestic airlines, without discrimination.

Although it was launched by the Ministry of Finance yesterday, it came into effect retroactively from May 21 and will run until July 20, when the peak summer travel season begins.

However, if the current outbreak of Covid-19 is brought under control before that date, and airlines can normalize their operations, the government will reduce subsidies and respect the fundamental rules of the market.

In addition, state assistance is intended to cover the basic costs of these companies and thus ensure the safety of each flight, restore growth prospects, and maintain employee training.

Civil aviation is among the sectors most affected by the standoff with Covid-19 in the Asian giant, where the health strategy includes huge restrictions, travel restrictions and strict control of movement.
