Labrador Gold tops 0.87g/t gold over 55.9m at new HM event at its Kingsway project

Labrador Gold tops 0.87g/t gold over 55.9m at new HM event at its Kingsway project

Labrador Gold is a Canadian-based mineral exploration company focused on acquiring and exploring potential gold projects in Eastern Canada.

The company said it continues to show high probability around the Appleton fault zone.

Labrador Gold has announced recent drilling results targeting the highly anticipated Appleton Fault Zone.

The drilling is part of an ongoing 100,000 meter diamond drilling program at its wholly-owned Kingsway project.

Latest results include wells drilled at Pristine, the eastern extension of the Big Vein, initial wells at Knobby and Peter Easton, as well as the first well at the new HM site.

Hole K-23-334 was a short hole drilled at the HM occurrence to test gold mineralization at depth beneath a quartz vein at the surface.

The majority of the hole contained an anomalous gold grade of 0.87 g/t Au at a depth of 55.9 metres, which included an area containing 27 grains of visible gold grading 38.37 g/t Au at 0.8 meters from 61.4 meters near the bottom of the well. The HM event was found by the survey and is located about 570 meters southwest of Big Vein and a similar distance northeast of Knobby. Hole K-23-334 is the only hole drilled in this event to date.

Results from hole K-23-304, drilled at Nobi, intersected two quartz zones containing gold that can be seen at depths of 42 and 49 metres. These intersections were estimated at 1.27 g/t Au over 0.42 meters and 8.78 g/t Au over 0.4 metres, respectively.

“We are excited about the results of the first hole at HM,” said Roger Moss, President and CEO of Labrador Gold. “While it is good to see the high grade associated with visible gold, it is very encouraging to see the country’s persistent and erratic gold moving in quartz veins in most the pit”. .

This new event, the seventh discovered by the LabGold team since we began working on the property, continues to demonstrate the great potential of the area surrounding the Kingsway's Appleton Fault Zone,” Moss added.

“With a total strike length of approximately 12 kilometers along the property, we are optimistic that more events will be discovered in the future,” he said.
