Microsoft announces Jorge Saa as Microsoft Regional Director in Panama – Latin American News Center

Panama – Microsoft has announced the appointment of Jorge Saa as Microsoft Country Director for Panama effective July 2022. The CEO will assume the dual role of Country Director and Commercial Director of Microsoft Azure for Central America and the Caribbean. Melanie Martin, who previously served as Country Director, will now take on new responsibilities in her new role as Microsoft Azure Director for Latin America.

Jorge has over 28 years of experience in the industry having worked for various organizations, including Carvajal in Mexico, Cocelco Colombia (now Movistar) and Ericsson, among others. Throughout his career, he has led global alliances with technology partners and transformation processes. Since 2019, he has returned to Microsoft, bringing the power of the Microsoft cloud to organizations in Central America, developing a robust ecosystem of people, skills, partners, and solutions, which have been critical to facing the new realities that organizations are facing. And through digital transformation, enabling business continuity for a mixed world.

Jorge is an electrical engineer, trained at the University of Los Andes in Colombia. He has completed this training with Business, Management and Innovation programs at Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, INALDE Business School in Bogota and Boston University in the United States. In addition, he has attended the International Training Hall Training Program for Leaders and Coaches.
