The donation was made by Helping Hands, the NGO CILSA, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

At noon today, the Neuquén County Health Department received a donation through Helping Hands, the NGO CILSA, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. These are 10 of the GEM 2 wheelchairs, which will be assigned to Neuquen District Hospital Dr. Eduardo Castro Rendon. During childbirth, the Minister of Health, Andrea Peve; the president and godmother of the foundation, Noemi Pascur and Karina Moreira; Under Secretary for Diversity Affairs, Luis Maria Ricciotto; and Director of Castro Rendon Hospital, Adrian Lamel.

In this sense, Bevi noted: “We are happy that the procedures will continue to be implemented through the Manos que Ayudan Foundation, which, in this case, includes 10 wheelchairs for the Castro Rendón Hospital. We have previously participated in the delivery of chairs to the Aluminé Hospital and are negotiating for hospitals in the south of the province, San Martín de los Andes, Junín, Villa la Angostura and Las Coloradas. We’ve been in this process for a few months now, working together, with an organization that’s doing this work with the importance of disability.”

For his part, Baskour emphasized: “This is a donation that comes from Germany, and in some cases they are usually from the United States and Canada. CILSA has been represented by our organization for six years, through a cooperation agreement we signed, and our work is related to research, management, and achieving the link between need and solution. A positive outcome is the access of a wheelchair or orthopedic devices, which can be canes, walkers, tripods or crutches. It is important because in this case we are dealing with hospitals, but we are working with direct beneficiaries, which we do sometimes through private schools and disability boards.”

In turn, Lamel said: “This makes it possible to feel the accompaniment of social organizations and to work together to meet the needs of the population. We were able to get through the pandemic because we all cooperated. And this left us with that experience and this generates a permanent accompaniment for us to work on the health of populations of all places. Five thousand people are admitted to the hospital every day, some of whom need wheelchairs and their expenses are permanent, and these 10 well-designed wheelchairs help us to do the job and to be able to provide better service in the hospital. , so I am very happy and grateful to the Helping Hands Foundation.”

Finally, Moreira added: “For me it is an honor to accompany the Foundation, I have been for years a collaborator in this space of solidarity that we have been running for 25 years and have been working in Rio Negro and Neuquén and I was chosen for this. The disability program is everything. Pride and now it adds to Chubut Province Also. We still think about people, and work for and for people to improve the desired quality of life. We know that the state, whether at the national, regional or municipal level, is not easy for them to reach, and the budget is limited and we understand that, but there are spaces in this aspect that can be Being close to the country and it’s good that we’re considered and that we have a place to work, there’s no political party, that’s very transparent and the agreement with CILSA is really cool.”
