The United Nations agency in Gaza warns that it may not be able to continue its operations after this month. Here are the highlights

As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens, the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) warns that it will likely be forced to halt its work across the Middle East at the end of February.

About 20 countries have suspended $440 million in funding for the organization over allegations that some of its employees were involved in the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7.

“If funding remains suspended, we will likely have to close our operations at the end of February, not only in Gaza, but throughout the region,” the agency’s Commissioner-General, Philippe Lazzarini, announced on Thursday.

Hope Hospital: The Israeli occupation forces evacuated Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Yunis, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.
