Ranked as successful 41. Fire Festival in Santiago de Cuba

Santiago de Cuba, July 9 (ACN) After a week of intense cultural, academic and religious activity, participants in 41. Fire Festivalwhich was developed from July 3 until today here, this edition has been classified as a success, the first after COVID-19.

Marked by the visit of Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, to Casa del Caribe, the institution that organizes the festival, and the presence of Dr. José Angel Portal on the opening day of the Minister of Public Health, the event brought the vitality of the Caribbean back to the streets of Santiago de Cuba, two years later isolation due to the pandemic.

Mater El-Adawy, Egypt’s ambassador to the island, pointed out that the event became a space for unity among the peoples of the region and the discovery of the cultural potential of this southeastern region, especially the city of heroes.

During the usual closing parade across the central Aguilera Street of this city, members 31. About 400 national artists, 18 transport groups, and 207 foreigners from Puerto Rico, Mexico, Germany, Venezuela, Suriname, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Saint Martin and Egypt, among others, participated in the fire festival.
