Microsoft is preparing to launch Halo: infiniteAnd The last game in the new trilogy created by 343 Industries and they really want to move forward with their promotional content. One of his wildest plans was to commission the iconic Warthog to build a fully functional version equipped with an engine that would make it one of the most powerful vehicles in the world.
Fantastic work fell into the hands of the Hoonigan team. They’ve already made other recreations of the Halo Marine Combat Vehicle for the showcases, but only up to this point have they been able to create a true “off-road” vehicle. That’s why they were given the engine Ford’s bi-turbo V8 engine that guarantees 1,000 horsepower.
The team is currently making a series of special videos that chronicle their “adventure” in building Microsoft’s commission. In the first episodes we can see that the adjective “functional” is perfect because the skeleton was made by them and although everything works normally, For now, everything in an expensive model keeps moving. We still haven’t seen those 1,000 horses benefit from their 42-inch tires.
Hoonigan’s series on the Warthog for Microsoft will run through October, so in the coming weeks We can see the true capabilities of this iconic car. What is clear is that the team is doing its best to give the car an almost accurate representation of Halo’s iconic transition using aluminum and fiberglass for the exterior.
The Warthog is one of the most iconic cars in video games, and of course hands-on recreation is always welcome. We’ll be aware of the tests the Hoonigan guys have decided to run on this car and we’ll wait for Microsoft to reveal what they want to do with it.
