LONDON (Reuters) – Britain hopes to strike a “fantastic” trade deal with New Zealand in August, the UK’s trade ministry said on Friday after bilateral talks in London.
“The negotiating teams are now expediting the talks and will finalize the details in the next few weeks with a view to reaching an agreement in principle in August,” the ministry said in a statement, following talks between the ministers. British retailer, Liz Truss and his New Zealand rival, Damien O’Connor.
The UK signed a post-Brexit trade agreement with Australia on Monday.
